RECENT TRANSACTIONS
- Advised Standard Chartered Bank PLC on a UKEF-backed facility to the Government of Uganda estimated to be approximately EUR 85,279,510 for the development and construction of 115 KM Kitgum to Kidepo Road in Uganda.
- Advising Standard Chartered Bank PLC on a Euro 258,9000,000 EKN-backed commercial and term loan facility to the Government of Uganda for the construction of tourism roads in South Western Uganda.
- Advised Mastercard Inc. to access a potential investment by way of convertible promissory notes into MTN Group, in a transaction valued at USD $ 100,000,000. The Firm assisted Mastercard Inc. and MTN Group to enter into an investment agreement and a convertible loan agreement by assessing compliance from a Ugandan law perspective.
- Advising UK Export Credit Agency (UKEF) on the amendment and restatement of the Euro 270,000,000 facility agreement entered into with the Government of Uganda for the construction of Kabaale International Airport.
- Advised the World Bank through its Long-Term Finance Division on the legal, regulatory and tax aspects for the proposed set-up of an infrastructure debt fund and project bond to crowd in local currency financing to support infrastructure projects in Uganda.
- Advised the Islamic Development Bank on the regulatory issues and structuring of a proposed Sharia-compliant line of credit for one of the largest commercial Banks in Uganda.
- Advised Stitching Medical Credit Fund (MCF) on a USD 2,500,000 revolving Term Loan to Micro-haem Scientific and Medical Supplies for the supply of COVID kits to the Government of Uganda.
- Advised Bank Mendes Gans N.V. (BMG) on the regulatory aspects pertinent to the expansion and roll out of their cash pooling products portfolio in Uganda.
- Advising, Mastercard Inc on its investment into Airtel Money Commerce by way of convertible notes in a transaction valued at USD 100,000,000.
- Advising Financial Access Commerce and Trade Services (Uganda) Limited on a $750,000 Factoring Line of Credit from African Export-Import Bank.
